Located in the Fremont Family Resource Center, the Afghan Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based umbrella organization seeking to empower Afghans living in Northern California by building self-sufficiency, developing youth leadership, and promoting unity. We have created an interfaith group of Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim leaders to promote community diversity, unity, and peace. We are interested in breaking down the barriers that isolate our communities and promote open dialogue between different faiths and ethnic communities. Our goal is to encourage inter-community dialogue to explore common problems and develop community wide solutions.

The Afghan Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based umbrella organization whose mission is to empower underserved Afghan families, women, and youth living in Southern Alameda County by providing health and social services, advocacy, building community, developing youth leadership, and promoting cross-cultural unity.
